Phil's musical journey started over thirty five years ago. He first started playing drums in the Bay Area club scene in various R & B groups. Making a name for himself in the drum world, he also had a passion for guitar. A self-taught guitarist, Phil was influenced by Albert and Freddy King, Otis Rush, Michael Bloomfield and Buddy Guy. His first blues group, "The Nazareth Blues Band", was a huge success around the Bay Area music scene, and an opening act for Eric Burdon and The Animals. He now is a driving force for the future success of RedHouse.
