NOTES

Oh, the things I put Bruce through! Now don't get me wrong, Bruce had a great sense of humor. In fact, he made recordings of his own comedy sketches, and they were pretty funny. But I think my own sense of humor was probably more wierd and off-the-wall than his was. I'm sure he went away from time to time scratching his head and wondering if I was altogether sane.

Bruce and I would occasionally help each other with recording projects. By the way, he helped us with the final mix of "The Sea of Snot". And "Intelligent Life Form" could never have been done without his time, help, equipment and patience. And every so often, I would return the favor and help him with some recording effort of his own. In this case, he was making a collection of short sound clips. He planned to use them as background noises in future recording projects. In particular, he wanted me to help him make a short snippet of "heavy metal".

Well, we ended up making a parody of a deranged heavy metal "headbanger" going off the deep end. As we ranted and raved, we tried hard not to laugh. But we couldn't help it, you can hear laughter in the recording.

As we listened to our bizarre creation being played back, Bruce looked at me with a grin, and said,
"You know, Mark, I think this guy's losing his identity..."
