Original Notes (1989 cassette release)

This collection represents over ten years of daydreaming about having better equipment to work with. Only one of these selections was done on eight tracks, many were done on two tracks. The material ranges from downright silly to deadly serious, and several shades of surreal in between. There will, hopefully, be more in the future, and hopefully not on two tracks! Ironically, the words to a song come to my mind: “And if you think this song’s a bore, then we’ll just sing it some more!”

Compact Disc Notes

Wow. Twelve years later. Where did the time go? Technology now allows the average Joe (like me) to put my works of music onto a compact disc of my own. I decided I needed to do this since yucky old cassette tapes just don't last, and all my earlier works would eventually be lost! But this was also an opportunity to polish up the old stuff ... virtually every one of the recordings here have been digitally "cleaned up", for example, removing flaws such as tape "drop-outs". These things happen to 12-year old audio tapes.

But I couldn't stop there; oh no, I couldn't! So I also took the opportunity to improve the artwork (depending on your point of view) and expand the notes with my own reminiscings about how these recordings were originally created. That should help all you insomniacs out there!

Now if I could only get some new recordings going ...
